Farm to Table - Kootenai County Fairgrounds

Kids learn just how their food gets from the Farm to their table! Students visit our booth to hear about the impact of honey bees on agriculture. Students also get the opportunity to see and handle some beekeeping equipment and see the live bees in our display hive.

The Master Gardener Foundation of Spokane County welcomes the Inland Empire Beekeepers Association to attend three entertaining and educational online events that we are offering this Spring and Fall.  The Conversations on Nature: Nurturing Your Garden Throughout the Growing Season series will feature experienced gardeners speaking on ways to nurture your gardens throughout the growing season.  Topics include planning your garden, choosing plants, preserving flowers, and creating garden crafts for your home.
 

 

        5/20/21 - Design tips for new and mature gardens and discussion on how to add zing with annuals and herbs;

       8/19/21 - Focus on ornamental grasses of the Pacific Northwest and how to harvest and preserve your blooms for later use;
 
      10/7/21 -  Live-stream, hands-on event to make a pumpkin centerpiece using dried florals, succulents, and other components.

    Time:  7:00 PM – 8:45 PM
    Cost:  $25 single session; or $65 all 3 sessions
